The Junkie team has taken an impressive nine out of twelve birds this year in Wisconsin. The action that we captured on tape this year is some of the best footage we’ve ever had the pleasure to film. We have a Tom ripping the head off one of our Spin-N-Struts, birds running across open fields from over 400 yards away to full strut within 10 yards, to coming quiet in the middle of a blizzard. I can’t wait to share this footage with all of the Junkies out there.

It was the end of the 2009 gun season and the deer had been hunted hard but we still gave it our all. Because that what the Outdoor Junkies are all about. I was joined by long time friend, Jeremy Hurst. We hunted hard for five solid days seeing close to 150 bucks and does. We were looking for 130pt or better for size and on the last day a nice 9 point came into range. Jeremy made a perfect shot using my new Thompson Venture 30-06 with a Nikon scope. Special thanks to Dustin for all of your help and hard work and our guide Gary.

White Horse Creek Guided Hunts. We have over 15,000 acres of prime Northwestern Oklahoma hunting land where Whitetail Deer and wild Rio Grande Turkeys are abundant. Our hunts have high success on trophy animals and are fully guided affairs that include lodging and meals. We offer several hunting packages to choose from with a variety of seasons to include rifle, archery and black powder hunting.
We were hunting out of Nordeg, Alberta Canada for mule deer and wolves. All I have to say is WOW, what an amazing adventure! Every time we set out from camp the day turned into a exciting, heart-pounding adventure. The hospitality and accomidations were awesome. This is one trip I would recommend to anyone.

The action was scattered throughout the day but when the fish decided to bite, IT WAS ON!

This year we were joined by Brent Wallmer, JR Kranz, Jeremy Crull, Stan Hesgard, Bryce Wickersham and of course the Wickersham brothers (Larry, Brian, Mike and Steve). We have been doing this trip for about eight years now and every year the action gets better and better.

On the first day, we caught 8 nice pike and 2 large mouth on tip ups. We also caught a pile of blue gills on jigging rods. Our plan was to pre-fish the lake and to find out a strategy for day 2 and it worked.

The second day was amazing, we caught at least 15 pike on tip ups and few bass and blue gills on jigging rods. We also had a fresh northern pike shore lunch and an-all-around good time. The weather was cold as usual but we were prepared. All of our ice shanties were heated, we had gas powered augers (Thanks to Jiffy) and transportation was supplied by our buddy Jigs Crull

- Thanks Jigs and to all of the Junkies for such a great time.

During the first season Brian Roberts took a nice Tom that was running right into the end of his shot gun. On the other end of the state, Brian Wickersham put the smack on a nice double bearded Tom (10” & 5” beard) with his bow at 10 yards away.

The following weekend Brian Wickersham and Jeremy Hurst headed south to the K-Bar-C Ranch in Southern Iowa. Brian took another nice Tom with a 6” beard.

During our last season the Junkie Team headed back to the Eagles Nest located in Portage, Wisconsin. On the first morning Rhino took his bird, a young tom with a 6” beard. Ten minutes later Brian and Mike both took two young jakes for their first double caught on tape.
