This past weekend the Outdoor Junkies made a trip up to The Eagles Nest outside of Portage, Wisconsin for an afternoon pheasant hunt. I was joined by my brother Mike, friends Jeremy Hurst and Jeremy Crull and the ultimate junkie, my cousin Bryce Wickersham. We were met by our hosts Mike Hintze and his friend Steve. We set up our gear and we were off for an amazing afternoon. The boys were on, they shot 29 out of 34 birds. Not bad for the first hunt of the year. I hope that we have this kind of luck for the rest of the 2008 season. Turkey season is on it’s way and this was a nice warm up for the upcoming spring season.
The Eagles Nest is a registered Wisconsin Game Farm that
provides over 180 acres of grasslands which ideal for bird hunting.

This past weekend was awesome. The Junkie Team put the smack down on some ring necks. 29 birds in 2 hours, what an afternoon.
